I attended the AGM of 2nd Welwyn ( Oaklands ) Scout Group last Sunday and was delighted to see over 60 parents and scouts listen to a really entertaining report on 2012's activities.
The Group is to be congratulated on its success and currently has over 120 beavers, scouts and Explorers with 20 adult leaders and helpers although extra helpers are always welcome.
I attend many AGM's during each year and can honestly say this was the most welcoming and friendly.
I would like to particularly thank the Chairman Chris Morgan and Group Scout leader for both their presentations and year's hard work.
The highlight of the year was a trip to Iceland which was beautifully displayed on a powerpoint presentation.
As a past scout myself I would highly recommend Scouting (and guiding) to all youngsters starting as early as 6 years old
