Long-time local campaigner and MP Grant Shapps recently set Labour's Welwyn Hatfield Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) straight on the history behind the closure of Welwyn Garden City's QE2 Hospital in a letter to the Welwyn Hatfield Times.
Grant makes the point that perhaps Labour's PPC can be excused for not being aware of Welwyn Garden City's local history, as news of the closure probably didn't make the news in Bedford; the city in which she lives.
